GANADO ISD EARNS 14 GOLD STANDARDS FROM STATE

The official Gold Standard Ratings came out today and the district has once again shown fantastic academic success with Ganado Elementary leading the way;

Ganado Elementary – “Recognized” – Achieved six out of a possible seven Gold Performance Acknowledgements – The only measure for which they did not earn a Gold Award was Math Improvement and that was due to good scores to begin with.

            Percent Attendance Rate – over 97% in all required categories (97% standard)

            Percent Commended on Reading – over 27% in all required categories (20% standard)

            Percent Commended on Math – over 25% in all required categories (20% standard)

            Percent Commended on Writing – over 27% in all required categories (20% standard)

            Percent Commended on Science – over 21% in all required categories (20% standard)

            Comparable Improvement in Reading – Met Gold Standard for Improvement

Ganado High School – “Academically Acceptable – Achieved four Gold Performance Acknowledgements – just missed percent commended in Social Studies by two percentage points (18%) in one of the four required groups.

         Percent Attendance Rate – over 96.5% in all required categories (95% standard)

            Percent Commended on Writing – over 32% in all required categories (20% standard)

            Percent Completing the Recommended or Distinguished Graduation Program – over 80% in all required categories (60% standard)

            Percent of Class of 2004 passing the TAAS/TASP Equivalency for College – over 82% in all required categories (80% standard)

Ganado ISD – “Recognized” – Achieved four Gold Performance Acknowledgements – just missed percent commended in Reading/ELA by one percentage point (19%) in one of the four required groups, and just missed percent commended in Social Studies by two percentage points (18%) in one of the four required groups.

            Percentage Attendance Rate – over 97% in all required categories (96% standard)

            Percentage Commended on Writing – 20% or more in all required categories (20% standard)

            Percent Completing the Recommended or Distinguished Graduation Program – over 80% in all required categories (60% standard)

            Percent of Class of 2004 passing the TAAS/TASP Equivalency for College – over 82% in all required categories (80% standard)

Congratulations to the students and faculty  of Ganado ISD for this outstanding achievement!  This once again points out the teacher’s refusal to leave any child behind.  Ganado ISD students are achieving to the “Gold” Standard Level, especially in Elementary.
