Logan Smith is attending the Plumbing program at the Mid-Coast Construction Academy. He is an outstanding student at the academy and has also earned their apprentice of the month award. Logan will complete the first level of NCCER Plumbing certification in May. As a senior he will graduate with his NCCER Plumbing level 2 certification and plans to continue into their adult program after graduation. The mid-coast construction academy also offers Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to earn their NCCER Electrical 1 and Electrical 2 certifications. Students attending the construction programs attend classes in Victoria from 8:00-10:00 am and return back to Ganado High School to finish their school day. Currently, Ganado ISD pays the tuition and provides transportation for the program. Rising juniors and seniors may apply for the program at http://www.mcacademy.org/apply-now/high-school-program/apply-to-mca/. The application is due April 30th. Interested students should visit with Mrs. Lesak about the program.
