Cross Country Update

From Coach Turner:

At Moulton, our JV girls were  first. In four track meets this season,  they have finished first 3 times and third once.  They beat Gonzales by one point 37 to 38.  Our top seven girls were Taylor Ortiz 3rd, Kayden Pena 4th, Janisa Aguilar 5th, Frida Predero 12th, Savannah Babb13th, Jaden Rosalez 14th and Celeste Ramirez 18th.  JV boys were 3rd.  Tyrin Brito finished 4th, Bruce Burtschell 7th, Jacob Sulak  15th, Beau Galetti 19th and Cody Price 25th out of 57 runners.  Only had five runners.  Top finishers in JH girls were Marisa Almeda 58th, Annalyze Thedford 64th, and Emily Thedford 62nd out of 170 girls.  Junior High boys finished 1st over Navarro by 3 points.  Alan Baez is undefeated in 3 meets and ran under 12 minutes for his two miles twice so far this season  and was a minute plus over the second place finisher  JH boys have finished first twice and third in three meets. His time was 11:53 Damian Aguilar was 4th, and has broken 12 minutes once in his three meets.  Callen Hajovsky was 19th, Luke Reid 15th, Curtis Ledwig 47th, Juan Almeda 65 and Colton Dodds 80 out of 184 boys.  Total team effort for all of our boys and girls.   We were passing everybody in site to move up in our team and individual positions.  Couldn't  be any prouder of a group of young people who work so hard.


At our last Cross Country meet at Shiner, our JV girls were first over Sealy 33 to 37.  Taylor Ortiz finished 2nd , with a personal best of 15:02, Janisa Aguilar was 5th, Kaden Pena 6th,  Jayden Rosalez 11th,  Frida Pedrero 13th, Jennifer Melchor 15th, and Braelyn Ullman 19th.  They all won medals and several of them had personal bests as well. Tyrin Brito was the top Varsity Boy finisher.  Top JH girl finishers were Marisa Almeda with a personal best of 16:04.   

Alan Baez was first in the JH boys division with a personal best of 11:52.  He has won every meet so far this year and has run his two mile under 12 minutes at every meet so far with his closest competition coming from teammate Damian Aguilar who finished 16th and Callen Hajovsky out of 153 runners.
